This does also fit the Pontiac Firebird with the same engine size and year range. It is a 1pc conversion shaft from what was originally a 2pc with a center support bearing. The main reason for doing this conversion was the simple fact that the center bearing became discontinued. Because the 1pc was successful with no vibrations or set-backs, it continues to be the cheapest and only solution.
