Description:
The Super MUTT® Base Model is a compact, rugged solution for 7-way electrical and air brake diagnostics that quickly troubleshoots lighting and air brake systems. Engineered for heavy-duty fleets, this versatile unit combines 12/24V operation with real-time circuit analysis and dynamic brake actuation, and operates all functions remotely up to 200 feet away – ideal for use in yards, shops, or on the roadside. It easily detects shorts, ground faults, and wiring issues while minimizing guesswork and speeding up inspections. It can also be used to trigger ABS blink codes; for more advanced ABS diagnostics, see the Alpha MUTT® series.
Electrical Testing (12/24 Volt Operation):
- Advanced trailer wiring diagnostics.
- Powers lights manually, all-on, in auto scan, or by remote control.
- Automatic fault alerts for cross, open, overload, and short circuit conditions.
- Pulsar Mode allows for chasing down short circuits without blowing fuses.
- Ground failure detection differentiates between wire and chassis ground.
- Cable testing validates continuity for any 7-way round cable.
- Ammeter displays 0-20 amps.
Air Brake Testing:
- Real-time, repetitive brake activation to find developing problems and verify leaking servo cans.
- Remote control allows observation of slack adjusters to measure and adjust pushrods.
- Performs leak-down tests on service and emergency lines.
Remote Control:
- 12-button remote with 200+ ft. range.
- Selects individual, multiple, or all circuits at once.
- Actuates service side air brakes.
- Syncs up to 12 remotes to one unit.
